SmartLine® temperature transmitters and STT 3000 series
Honeywell's temperature transmitter line is a three-tiered solution: the right mix of price and performance for the measuring point, from the high-performance SmartLine devices down to a compact head-mount transmitter.

What it is
Purpose and use
STT850 and STT750 are the SmartLine tier, with comprehensive on-board diagnostics for both the sensor and the transmitter, a built-in digital output option, a universal terminal, sensor health trend through the advanced display, dual compartment housing, single and dual input options and TÜV SIL2 certification. The STT750 is the cost effective variant with many of the same features as the STT850.
The STT700 is positioned as the site's go-to transmitter: performance suitable for control at a price typical of monitoring transmitters, with universal sensor inputs, single and dual input options, HART 7 and DE protocol, and a compact size that allows direct head mount. The STT170 is a cost-effective solution with 4-20 mA communication, universally PC programmable for both RTDs and thermocouples, in an ultra compact size that fits the smallest DIN B head mount housing.
The STT650 is a DIN rail mounted high performance transmitter with RTD and universal input types, single and dual channel options, and 4-20 mA, HART 7, Fieldbus or Profibus PA output. For installations that should arrive ready to fit, the STT800 measurement assembly combines sensor heads, sensors, thermowells and process connections in three models — rigid probe, threaded and socket weld thermowell, and drilled and flanged thermowell — with custom calibration and agency approvals.

FAQ
Questions about SmartLine® temperature transmitters and STT 3000 series
Why order a complete measurement assembly instead of parts?
Because matching thermowell, sensor and process connection on site is where projects lose days and where leak paths are created. The STT800 assemblies arrive fitted, calibrated and approved, which removes that step and the errors that come with it.
Which transmitter do we need for a SIL2 loop?
The STT850 and STT750 are TÜV SIL2 certified. The device certification is a precondition, not a guarantee — the safety integrity of the loop depends on the full chain and the proof test interval, and we supply the device data your functional safety assessment needs.
