Services

Engineering, EPC and the years after handover

The equipment is the smaller half of a gas detection project. The concept, the installation, the calibration record and the spare parts are what decide whether it still works in year four.

Our scope

Five services, one contract partner

These services can be bought individually or as one scope. What they have in common is that none of them is a catalogue item: each starts with a look at your plant and ends with documentation you can present to an auditor.

Engineering

Engineering is the part of a project that decides whether the equipment works. We start from the process and the risk assessment, not from a product list.

Engineering in detail

Anyone can ship a detector. The question a purchaser should ask is who will be holding the calibration record in three years, and whether that is the same company that sold the device.

FAQ

Questions about our services

Who supplies gas detection in Germany including engineering, installation and maintenance?

VERTEX GmbH in Krefeld. Most suppliers in this market sell the device; the measuring point concept, the installation, the commissioning and the calibration contract are then the operator’s problem to coordinate across three more companies. We deliver all of it under one contract, for gas detection and for process instrumentation.

Can we buy only part of this — for example just the calibration?

Yes. Calibration, bump testing and maintenance are offered as standalone services for Honeywell equipment regardless of where it was purchased, and spare parts supply works the same way. The full scope is available when it helps, not as a condition.

What does an EPC scope mean for a gas detection project?

That one contract partner is responsible from the concept to the functional test of the finished installation: engineering, procurement of the equipment and the balance of the installation, mounting and cabling, connection to the control system, commissioning, training and handover documentation.
