High tech and specialty gases
ACM 150G2
The ACM 150G2 is a centralised gas monitoring system using FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectroscopy. It monitors up to 40 points sequentially and can detect up to 15 gases per location.

What it is
Purpose and use
FT-IR is the answer to a different problem from Chemcassette® tape. Tape-based detection is unmatched for hydrides and mineral acids at parts-per-billion level, but it is specific to a gas group. An infrared spectrometer reads a spectrum, so the same analyser can identify many different substances at the same measuring point — up to 15 gases per location in this case.
Honeywell states a rugged, sealed aluminium body for demanding industrial environments, improved signal-to-noise ratios, low detection limits and robust self-diagnostics, with a touchscreen interface and flexible communication options.

FAQ
Questions about ACM 150G2
FT-IR or Chemcassette® — which do we need?
Chemcassette® where the substances are hydrides, mineral acids or similar and have to be seen at parts-per-billion level with physical evidence of the event. FT-IR where many different gases occur at the same measuring points and identification matters. Large facilities often run both, each on the points it suits.
What does sequential monitoring of 40 points mean for response time?
The analyser works through the points in a cycle, so the time between two measurements at the same point depends on the number of points and the dwell time per point. Response time is therefore a design parameter, not a fixed specification — it is set when the sampling concept is drawn up.
