What it is

Purpose and use

One clarification first, because the two names are easily confused: Honeywell Vertex™ is a product of Honeywell International Inc. VERTEX GmbH is the independent German company that delivers, installs and services it, registered in Krefeld in 2020 under HRB 17755. Supplier and product happen to share a name.

The system supports up to 72 points of simultaneous monitoring and detects over 40 gas types. Built-in redundancy and advanced diagnostics minimise downtime — the reason the platform is specified for mission-critical applications where a monitoring outage stops production rather than merely raising a maintenance ticket. Honeywell states intuitive touchscreen controls and a total cost of ownership argument built on flexibility, reliability and adaptability, aimed at semiconductor and high-tech environments.

Chemcassette® is the detection principle behind it: a flow-through method that creates well-defined, consistent stains even at low concentrations by ensuring the gas flows through the chemical bed of the tape. The stain is physical evidence of an exposure event rather than a transient reading on a screen.

Service by VERTEX GmbH

What we deliver around this product

VERTEX GmbH plans the sampling concept — point count, tubing layout and response time are one design decision — supplies and installs the system, commissions and calibrates it, and keeps the Chemcassette® tapes, tubing and filters flowing against actual consumption instead of against an emergency order.

FAQ

Questions about Honeywell Vertex™ Multi-Point Gas Monitoring System

Is VERTEX GmbH the manufacturer of the Vertex™ system?

No. Honeywell International Inc. manufactures Vertex™. VERTEX GmbH, Krefeld, is an independent supplier and service provider that delivers, installs and maintains it in Germany. The identical name is a coincidence between a supplier and a product.

How many measuring points does an installation actually need?

It follows the sampling concept, not the room size. Point count, tubing length and the required response time are one interlinked decision: a longer sample line means a longer transport time to the analyser. We work this out with the process owner before sizing the system.

What does the redundancy in the system protect against?

Against losing monitoring, which in a semiconductor fab means losing production. Built-in redundancy and diagnostics are there so a component fault degrades the system rather than stopping it.
